Thank you for helping PAL spread love in our communities!
PAL Dogs are Paws-itively Therapeutic!
Interactions with therapy dogs make a real and positive difference for people -- decreasing anxiety, reducing feelings of loneliness, and increasing feelings of wellbeing, among other benefits. Thank you for helping PAL provide therapy dog visits to socially isolated seniors, children struggling to read, hospice patients and their families, and so many more of our community members in need of extra love, comfort, joy, and support. The ripple effects of the love shared by PAL therapy teams spread far and wide, helping all of us thrive.
People Animals Love is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1982. Our 200+ volunteer therapy dog-handler teams bring joy and comfort to those in hospitals, retirement homes, hospice facilities, correctional facilities, federal offices, K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and libraries throughout the Washington DC Metro area. PAL's mission is to use the human-animal bond to comfort the lonely, ease the pain of the sick, and enrich people's lives.
